There are some of my favourite photographs by Elinor Carucci. When I was younger I really loved the self-portraits, but now I am most in love with her photographs of her mother. These are cropped because I took sneaky screenshots of her website. They have great titles.
One of many ways to get harassed by airport security.
Yuula linked the Mississippi Records’ “House of Broken Hearts” mixtape to download on her blog. It’s beautiful, you should listen to it.
Also, Xenia’s Sad Sad Shit blog of super sad things like I See A Darkness (although I think the Johnny Cash version is much, much sadder), sad dogs, sad art and dead horses.
Two Sally Mann photographs that I love.
Also, these of her Greyhound, Eva:
And all of What Remains, really.
Yesterday I saw this white squirrel.
Christin’s tattoo & me in the grass. Larger ones here.
Cindy Palmano’s photographs for Boys for Pele are some of my favourite things ever, especially the wrapped piano in the burning field.
One thing that makes you look like an alcoholic is peering into the windows of a bar for half an hour, waiting for them to open at 3pm.
Anvil is an amazing movie.
Yuula’s print tonight.
Things I am waiting for:
Even the Dogs Snow & a long length of fabric for a project Oahu An adapter that lets me use a 35mm camera lens on my video camera
A chat with Lydia Davis on the New Yorker website.
This is the print for the Mercer Union thing on Thursday. It is small. Later they will be printed 20x24 and maybe even 30x40.

In my attic is a print Cornelia Parker did for the Serpentine Gallery. It is one of the best things I have. Look at her incredible installations.
Sweaty Betty’s, oysters @ The Swan, Christin & One Hundred Dollars, who played a fundraiser for someone named Mark at Canadian Corps, which is a legion hall. Simone’s voice is one of my favourites ever. Everyone was like “So how do you know Mark?” and we’re like “Mark who?” We seemed to be the only people there who didn’t actually...
Seven years ago I took this photograph of me with a Seripop print. Seripop is Kevin’s friends’ amazing design company and they make beautiful, beautiful concert posters. The picture was taken in our first apartment together and I had black hair, which was a bad idea. Anyway, Kevin sent it to them for some kind of photo contest they had and I guess I’m getting a bunch of...
Look at what Tiphanie (Antigirl.com) made! She is dreamy, she designed my book cover and makes incredible things.
Also look at the band posters at The Small Stakes.
