Our neighbour, who is a very old and interesting lady with very poor hearing, thinks we are Jewish and buys us Manischewitz for all occasions. In a west end radiology clinic I told the technician to tell me that no one has ever had cancer at 31, not ever, and he started to say that it was very very rare and I said “no, say NEVER” and he said it for me and I was pressed against the x-ray machine with my arms around it, like we were slow dancing.
