At six in the morning Kevin told me I wasn’t going to work because he had secretly arranged for us to take the day off and then he made pancakes with sugar and lemon and we got Yuula and drove out to the stable and rode in 40 degree heat and then swam in a lake in the middle of nowhere and got a bag full of oysters and ate them in my kitchen that felt like it was on fire...

I went to a party. Yuula learned to shuck oysters. We got drunk beside a fire. We went down a slide and sat under trees.
