Berlioz - Requiem (Agnus Dei)

I finally saw Tree of Life and I was worried about watching it because Terrence Malick has made my favourite movies and I didn’t want to be disappointed. But I loved it so much. So so so much. Afterwards was like when you start coming down and everything feels ordinary and it is horrible and everything was just so incredible a few minutes ago and why can’t you go back there and you sleep for days because it’s unbearable to have there and here right up against each other. I want to watch it again in a place with better colour and sound quality. I’ve watched the trailers on my pretty monitors and with headphones a million times for work and community cinema, while a nice idea, isn’t a very good place to see all that colour and hear all those sounds. It should feel like someone breathing on you.

It also made me even happier that the TSO is doing Brahms’s 4th Symphony in February.
